(Even though it was plainly this Times article and a copycat piece in Time—yes, possums, I can no more explain it than you, but Time still exists!—that generated six hits on this site in the last 24 hours on variants of the merry buskers’ names. (No, I have no shame. I’ll even write a post like this to get some extra hits.)
Meanwhile, the real actors—not buskers—of the Spur-of-the-Moment Shakespeare Collective go quietly along, with minimal publicity, entertaining people confined to hospitals, old-age homes, and the like in their Shakespeare’s Briefs series. Who would you rather follow on Facebook?
